Winning Against Laz

GC BBF's Yankee Doodle Dandy Takes BOB In Direct Competition With Saynora's Laz, Top Lop Contender

Holland Lop Buck - GC BBF's Yankee Doodle DandyJune 2005
CSRA
Perry, GA
Judge:  Steve Rausch

If Saynora's Laz is not the #1 Top Lop for 2004-2005, I will be very surprised.  At the time of this CSRA show, he had in the neighborhood of 59 legs and was winning BOBs at nearly every show (with frequent BIS awards).  If Laz were not such a successful rabbit, this win would not be worth mentioning.

In show A, Dandy was BOV for solids and Laz was BOV for brokens.  They were placed side by side in the coops.  I really thought that Dandy had a good chance.  He was in a good fur and looking his best.  Plus, being side by side allowed Dandy to show off his wonderful head mount.

I was thrilled when Dandy beat Laz (the only thing more thrilling would be to do it with a homegrown bunny).  I just hope that Laz doesn't miss #1 top lop by 148 points--Tracy might never let me forget it!

The Nature Trail's Mercedes won BOS.  This was the same combo that won during the snowy show in January.  It was very nice to know that they can win even with the fierce competition of Tracy Lukeman, Cindy Pail, Tim Nix, Shannon & Shannon Rabun and others.  They didn't have to have the snow after all.
