Educational Events
I am extremely excited. Sandhills Rabbit Fanciers, the local club I belong to in North Carolina, has decided to host a series of educational events next year. We hope to have four to six such events in 2007!
These events will be short two to three hour sessions. Some will be stand alone. Some will occur the same weekend as a show so that participants can maximize the benefits of their gasoline and accomodation expenses. Some may be followed by lunch and then the Sandhills Rabbit Fanciers regular meeting.
There are so many topics that most of us would love to learn more about. There are things we want to see, feel, and try for ourselves. Although we learn a lot at shows, shows can be very busy. Often I don't get around to doing all that I plan to at a show. I'm sure it's the same for you. I look forward to having some time set aside to explore some of the many topics that affect our hobby.
Although I don't know right now what the topics will be - we have a lot of brainstorming and preparation to do - I do know that we will try to balance the topics between husbandry and showing issues.
So stay tuned. By this fall, you should begin to see advertisements and further information for our very first event!
