Sandhills RF Christmas Charity Show, Sanford, NC
Oh my gosh, you have never seen anything so cute in your life as Alison Fulbright's Holland doe dressed up in a green plaid Christmas dress! She was a suck-up to the judge, showing off just at the right time. I think she must have caught everyone's attention during the rabbit costume contest. She was really something else.

It was the most adorable thing - reindeer, an angel, Santa's helper, a star, and more. Bunnies in costumes - who knew it could be so much fun?

My best placement for the day was tying for first place in the dessert contest. I shared the honor with Brenda Smith of Narrowgate Farm Rabbitry. She brought this brownie thing layered with pudding, I think, and whipped topping mixed with caramel or something like that. Ummmmm. I took Italian cream cake. It's one of the few cakes I really like.

I also had great luck on the raffle table, winning a cultured marble double feed bowl that I plan to use with my silver fox. Boy, is that thing heavy. Nobunny is knocking that sucker over. I suppsed that even though he refused to breed on command today, I guess he can still have the fancy bowl.

I delivered one of the puppies today. Oh, we is so cute. I hated to see him go. But his new family seems already in love with him. So that makes me feel better. We jus thave one left for sale. He's a male and I believe he's going to be light red instead of blond.

Java earned his 9th leg. That was just about it for me on the bunny side of things. It won't be long until Java is semi-retired. I'm guessing he has a good chance of getting his 10th leg in January - unless he goes into a funky molt or something else unforeseen happens.

The club raised something in the neighborhood of $1200 for charity. I survived my first day as a show secretary, I got a $25 gift certificate for making my favorite cake, I hate a great time with my friends, we had our club Christmas party after the show, and Java picked up a leg. Not bad for one day.
