I Need Your Help
I've been asked to present at a judge's conference in August of this year. I hope you all plan to be there. It's scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
My topic will be talking about what goes on at the show table. There is exhibitor behavior that drives judges and other exhibitors crazy. There's judge behavior that drives exhibitors crazy (and embarrasses ARBA and other judges).
Conversely, there are things we love to see. I, for one, love to see a judge turn his or her back, or read their Standard, or walk away as rabbits come up to the table. Not only are they not looking at who puts which rabbit on the table, they are giving the clear message: I don't want to know.
I also like to see exhibitors who cheer other exhibitors on and congratulate them. I like to see rabbits handled well by both judges and exhibitors.
Here's the help I need. Please let me know what drives you crazy at the show table and what kinds of behavior you love to see.
