Holland Lop - The Nature Trail's Kerry - Broken Senior Buck I love Rio, I really do. He's outstanding in certain ways. But I really prefer smaller Hollands.

So, I bred Rio to GC The Nature Trail's Markie, who weighed a mere 2.12 when she was registered. My hope was to get a rabbit that had Rio's massive look, his bone, and his cheeks, but in a smaller package.

I may have gotten my wish.

I liked Kerry from the very beginning, but his Rio-ness has developed over time. He's just nine months old in these pictures, but he's already starting to develop into a buck that should be able to compete on the show table.

I hope that by 18 months, he'll really show the maturity and development to do well on the show table, but not be a problem when it comes to maximum weight. Just three months ago at registration, Kerry only weighed 2.13!

So far, Kerry has done really well on the show table. But he's about to win the dubious title of King of Second Place. One day, the winds will blow his way and he'll grand, I'm sure.
